Away from heaven,
Towards the ‘Fiery Pit’,
So many souls keep moving,
‘Stop them, dear God, O please! ’
Some mighty human beings,
Woman with lovely frames,
Leaders and kings and queens,
Children with heinous crimes:
‘Have mercy on them, O Lord,
And stop their drift to hell! ’
Caught in devils’ clutches;
Bound in dragnets of sin;
Ensnared by Satan’s designs;
Hell-bound are umptine souls!
People with sweet voices;
Scholars, scientists, clergy;
People good until now:
‘God, prevent their abysmal fall,
Rescue souls from hell’s jaws! ’
