Hell's Angel Gone Poem by jerica singleton

Hell's Angel Gone

I was from hell or so I thought
I had lived here for so long
That the fire often calmed me
Often used to the constant bruises
The lashes across my back
I no longer embraced for them
You were heaven
Simply beautiful
I often gazed up at you
Mesmerized by your wings
How to took flight and soar high
So high
Your light luminous
But I was scared
I knew if I touched you
I would turn turn you to ash
I knew I could only watch in amazement
So back to hell I went
To play some more with
Fireballs and fireworks
I started every time I walked though But you got curious
Noticing the fire you wonder could you get close
Told over and over never to commence to head down
But you admire the woman you felt deserved something more
Deserve to see the light
So you took a chance
And I burn your hand when you touched my face
Healing instantly to my surprise
Even to yours
We wonder could this be a sign
That my hell could also be heaven sent
No longer looking down I took your hand and left hell behind
