The Mirror And I Poem by jerica singleton

The Mirror And I

I've looked at you a thousand times
each time finding myself lost in you
Your hair as black as the evening sky
My fingers dance and twirl paused in between your curls
I' ve looked at you a thousand times
each time mesmerized off the sight of you
Your skin slightly tainted from the morning sun
Scars unhealed, tormented, dared to look up
Bruises swept away by bromze colored shadows
I've looked at you a thousand times
often relished when you look at me
As your lips transcends,
no need for them to speak for
Your eyes alone answers me
As i look in the mirror once more..
