Hello Poem by Will Lauron

Hello

I said, 'hello.'
I said, 'My name is,
A nervous shifting platform'
We shook hands.
'It’s been awhile since a woman,
I just haven’t really had a conversation, thats all.'
She looked around.
She looked experienced.
I was excited, happy.
My grin never ceased.
She is not exotic; she has career plans.
But her body made me place,
A wager on her dignity.
Object and human.
I wasn’t going to win.
I had no right to gamble.
She was irresistible
Intangible to my reality.
