Hemos Perdido Aun

Rating: 0.5
We’ve lost our blood
No one’s seen it in our bound hands
It escaped through a window
With a party hat and a distant stare

The night is cold on this side of the world
So we burn mounds of shit
On the stones at our feet

We told you what our souls feared
And the sadness we’d known

Then
Where did you go?
To what other people?
Speaking what language?
Why did you trade Our love
For another from so far away?
Do their tears taste sweeter than ours?

We’ve drained the Book
Its tome of blood
For a sip of reason between its covers

We wait no more

Where blood runs dry
Only statues survive
