Her —- Poem by Natasa To

Her —-

She wakes with sunlight tangled in her hair,
gold spilling softly across her face,
and carries a thousand thoughts
like little stars tucked beneath her skin.

Her eyes hold the color of deep evening—
curious, bright, impossible to fool.
She notices what others overlook:
the warmth in a stranger's smile,
the quiet before the rain,
the tiny details that make ordinary moments beautiful.

There is something magnetic in the way she walks,
not because she asks to be noticed,
but because she knows who she is.
Her laughter rises like music through an open window,
warm enough to make a room feel less lonely.

She is beautiful in the mirror,
but even more so in the moments no mirror can capture—
when she stays up chasing an idea,
when her mind sparks with a new possibility,
when she turns a difficult day
into another reason to become stronger.

Her intelligence is not cold or distant;
it glows like a lamp in a dark room.
She asks questions.
She dreams wildly.
She learns, remembers, creates—
and somehow makes curiosity look beautiful.

She has known storms,
yet she still carries sunshine in her pockets.
She has stumbled,
yet her feet always remember how to rise.
There is softness in her heart
and steel beneath it.

She is the kind of woman
who can wear silence like silk
and confidence like gold.
She does not need to dim her light
to make someone else comfortable.

So when she looks into the mirror tonight,
let her see beyond her reflection—
the girl who dreamed,
the woman who endured,
the soul that kept becoming.

She is smart.
She is beautiful.
She is becoming more herself every day.

And perhaps that is her most breathtaking beauty of all:
she was never meant to be anyone else.
