Here Comes The Sun Poem by Jay Loring

Here Comes The Sun

The sun shines through my window now.
My senses drink it in.
I lift the shades up and allow
its warmth to touch my skin.

The gloomy days, they take their toll,
the longer they abide
But the sun's sweet presence soothes my soul.
Its warmth's felt deep inside.

I find a smile upon my face -
I didn't even try.
As I bask in its warm embrace
and gently heave a sigh.

Where have you been, my distant friend?
I've missed your gentle touch.
When darker days seem without end,
I miss you, oh so much.
