Here I Go Again Poem by jimmy zepp

Here I Go Again

Rating: 2.1

If you ask me where?
I'll not find a proper answer...
Here or there?
In laughter or in anger,
It's just the same,
For a man,
Who had thrown away his fame,
Bitter love just couldn't tame,
Now it's embedded in an ironed frame,
Burnt out of the eternal flame,
Everything had reached the end of the game,
I lose; you win,
Nothing in between,
Still the same old teen,
In his early nineteen,
Where you were just six,
Little red riding hood,
You tried something to fix,
In that old Robin Hood,
Wearing clothes weaved of lies,
Couldn't carry on in his fake disguise,
Unable to wash his tearful eyes,
Now he goes along,
On a way too long,
Singing an old song,
Here I go again,
On my own,
Drowned in pain,
Like no one had known,
Forgive me,
Forget me,
Say you love me,
Just lie to me...
And I'll be gone...
On my own,
To a place unknown...

As the french say; ' La verite est dans le vin...'
Meaning the truth is in the wine...yes, I'm drinking, for a better living, a good loving, a better feeling, a clearer sight, not a single fight...I'm tired, I'm done, and I'm gone...I'm alone...I'm done...Forgiven, not forgotten, you will always be...
