Here I…. Poem by Azieyah Atkins

Here I….

Here I demand
To know where I stand
To know my purpose in life
To know if I'll every be able to stop this strife
Here I sit
Waiting for that lil bit
Of confidence and hope
While Tied up in shackles made of rope
Here I judge
Those around me
When this entire time I envy
They look so confident
To me this view is magnificent
Here I stay
In my own zone
Which requires me to be alone
It's okay to be alone sometimes
But if you do it often then you start to become confined
Here I wait
For that thing inside of me to die
I feed it as I cry
My salty tears a yummy treat
Ignoring the pain by listening to the music's beat
Here I end
This depressing poem
This was a preview
Of the teenage brain
How teenage thoughts can drive u insane
