'Here Is A Little Piece Of My Creation, Reflecting My Raw And Honest Self.' Poem by Srishti @

'Here Is A Little Piece Of My Creation, Reflecting My Raw And Honest Self.'

THE PRICE OF A BETTER CHILDHOOD

It's past midnight,
As I lie on my bed,
I stare at the ceiling,
While my ears still echo
With the words that you said.

You called me a burden,
When I was ten,
At thirteen I wished,
I were dead.

You call yourself responsible,
But you blame others for your anger,
Whenever you are near,
I feel like I am in danger.

I am afraid to write,
as my heart is frail
and my soul is blue,
They say you have to pay for everything;
so, what's the price of a better childhood?
