Hero Poem by Caitlyn Williams

Hero

She has the smile that would drive a million men wild. Her laugh is in behalf of her pain. Her eyes shine like the stars in the night sky.........................THEY LIE! She hides her pain well, hush hush and don't tell. She sneaks and she hides the bruises and the scars, while all the while, trying to keep her head above the water.
They can all see underneath her long sleeved shirt. The burns and the gashes all from those matches. The cuts and scrapes from the ruts she's ran in, and the stakes she'd been stabbed with. Her life is her tragedy. Full of acidly words, and words wished spoken. She's living in her nightmare, unable to wake, no matter how much she aches and yearns to break free of her cursed life.
She needs a hero. Someone who's there and who is aware of her. Someone who's brave and can crave away her fears. For when she stumbles and falls, she can call upon him to help. A brave and youthful soul who is gentle at the touch, but can clutch her fears, and gently wipe away her tears. Someone....who while lying next to her, can prove his undying love for her, and can engrave it on her heart, never to be forgotten.....
