I wish…
I really do,
Just a moment,
For one (special) moment with you…
But she hesitated,
Let go of my hand, as if it dissipated,
Or somehow, disintegrated,
I feel pained, for it seemed
That she felt pained,
And that caused me to feel ashamed.
'But why the sudden hesitation? '
I had to question her reasoning,
But her reply was as dry as ice,
'I don't love you, I can't love you.'
And then she ran.
I attempted the chase,
But eventually, my legs began to give in,
I couldn't any further, yet I persevered,
For the pains of love is nothing I've ever
Feared.
