Pages turn, a story told,
Of fortunes made, of shining gold.
Rich men's deals, a grand display,
But hunger's plea, fades away.
Street corners cold, a weary sigh,
For bread to eat, beneath the sky.
No roof to shield, from night's dark chill,
While wealthy dreams, are written still.
The papers shout, of gains so high,
But silent cries just pass us by.
The lowest rung, forgotten plea,
Lost in the noise, for all to see.
