Hilse Poem by MARINA GIPPS

Hilse

Rating: 3.9

This near decapitated flower,
petals about to be dismembered,
i hold you

i could walk the earth
apologetic and polite,
content to be feeling
our slow death in my hands
but i won't i won't

For i've plucked you
from this field so small white
where eight thousand words for love
are pollinated by wind
