Him Poem by Matt Ryan

Him

Rating: 5.0

I pray dear lord, my soul is yours, my heart belongs to another.
Repent my lack of faith but I haven't had much in myself either.
The distance too far, but the moments in time are farther.
When it all comes together, the pieces fit together, I realize we were meant to be together.
I confess there is nothing that I want more than to be with you.
Some say judgment shall be cast upon me, so I turned the other cheek.
Now I realize it was not you but them, so please let me turn a new leaf.
Please let me turn a new leaf.
I have never wanted something so badly, and that's why it hurts the most.
I need someone to help me fill this blank, this void, this ghost.
So throw me up and let me see.
Let me see.
The love that could be.
Turn me into a believer.
So I can believe forever.
Forever for us three.
