His Eyes Through Mine Poem by Nena Shawl

His Eyes Through Mine

Watching his eyes begin to speak
Mouthing the words of the meek
Continue to hide sadness and fear
She dies inside knowing no friendship is near
Emotions raging inside
All begin to collide
Mixed and scattered in the mind
Appearing lost searching with hopeless eye
Crying for hours over the pain
The pain in which his lady caused him to gain
Heart breaks into many pieces
His business in love forever ceases.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
This poem is from a little while ago. This guy was my 'boyfriend' for like a week. He was really shy and sweet, and I just felt terrible for telling him we weren't going to work out.
