His Greatest Tool - Poem by Michael P. Johnson

Though true salvation’s comes us free
Though sins can be reprieved
Countless are banned to bend their knee
To whom they have believed

Millions of people risk their lives
Thousands of people die
Despised by families, husbands, wives
Because of Christ on high

Because of faith because of grace
Of love so rich so pure
Because of hope to see the face
Of Heaven’s King Yeshua

Suffering torment tremendous pain
Abused till death’s release
Such are the trials when born again
Who seek eternal peace

How sad for those who harm or kill
Who hinder one child’s call
Who think they do God’s righteous will
Bringing about their fall

For He who gives the breath of life
Who loves us all the same
Sees who cause His children strife
In some religious name

Religion’s but an evil scheme
The devil’s greatest tool
Brought about by Satan’s dream
To reign and Heaven rule

An angel fallen from The Light
Enemy of the mind
Guiding the fool leading the fight
To keep us lost and blind
