Historically Anticipated Embrace, Poem by Lorene Kinsey

Historically Anticipated Embrace,

Historically anticipated embrace,
Silence, stillness, trembling lips,
Aching to taste that distant kiss.
It’s been too long without,
Too long that we’ve been pulled
Away with our busy lives,
Too long without being captivated
In your embrace, how much longer
Can I wait and wait—
