History! History! Burning bright!
Under the fluorescent light!
To what media is due
Thy billions in revenue?

On what social medium
Has the victor's ballad drum?
Twitter, Facebook, Instagram?
There is thine affluent glam!

In what season, and what year
On print did ye begin appear?
Etch in stone, record the score;
‘Twas the Fall of '34.

What the glamour? What the fame?
On the airwaves was thy name!
Since the days of football old,
Radio thy story told!

In the years of football glory,
Coaches, players are the story!
From football field, to video game,
To gleaming in the Hall of Fame!
