Hit & Run Heartbreaker Poem by Lee Ann Schaffer

Hit & Run Heartbreaker

Rating: 5.0

I need a defensive driving course
And to increase my insurance,
But seriously...
Short of staying off the road,
I'm not sure what I could have done.
If you're going to drive,
You take your chances.

This isn't about my driving.
It's about yours.

I noticed that you didn't even have
A rearview mirror
As I watched the reflection of
My hazard blinkers
In your tail lights,
Distance between us growing.

How long do you think
You can elude the karma police?
