Hiv Poem by Kimberly Wares

Hiv

~This is a poem I made for my health class

Roses are red
Violets are blue
My name is HIV
And I'm out to get you

I hide in many places
Where I'm not easy to find
And if you're not careful
I'll sneak up from behind

I'll grab hold of you
And never let go
Then I'll multiply in you
And you won't even know

I'll get my friend
His name is AIDS
He'll make you weak
And never go away

But we only help
We're not why you die
That's our friend's job
And he's AIDS-OI

Once we're here
You can't get away
But you can prevent us
By playing it safe

If you dan't act risky
Or think you're immune
We can't harm you
And send you to your doom

So don't blow us off
Just do what's smart
And we won't grab hold
And stop your heart
