Hold Fast Life's Plough Poem by Michael P. Johnson

Hold Fast Life's Plough

Still stumbling lost, still plagued with shame?
Guilty, seeking to live!
Consider Jesus, call on His name
The Holy Ghost to give

God Promise given; without doubt
Life's Holy Guarantee
Who from all sin, will turn about
Those seeking victory

To live righteously, walk upright
Surrendering self-desire
Doubting religion, seeking light
Through baptism of fire

Jesus, Jesus, God's Lamb, God's Son
God's Holy Ghost life's Guide
Living so, will God's will be done
While truth burns deep inside

Will you be one of the winners?
A victor, smiling sweet
Leaving the path of sinners
To sit at Jesus' feet

Learning, observing Truth at work
Strength gaining, night and day
Seeing first hand, where devils lurk
To steal the sheep that stray

Be careful now, through life beware
Be wise, learn by mistakes
No disguised devils anywhere
Will come as rattle snakes

Best give to Christ your feeble hand
Your true undying vow
Live obeying each royal command
Holding Salvation's Plough…..
