Holding Hands Poem by Alexander Foald

Holding Hands

Holding hands, two people walking by
Seem like someone I recognize, at least does my heart
And to think that she could do something hurt like that
It’s in my nature to forgive, and pass her by

Years got through between ambition and obsession
I have fulfilled my dreams so far I can concern
But no part of reality can fix the broken traumatic decision
Like the last time I refused to continue walking by her motion

It is emotionless thinking, bears no anger yet only wants to be free
Holding hands, two people walking by the road of my life
And to think that I could make a step to forget and flee
My heart is strong enough to accept what reality may come
