Holding On Poem by Alyssa Rieper

Holding On

He hangs onto my hand with all of his might
For pulling him out of the hole is our fight
A sweat and tear dropp meet at my cheek
I realize, now, there’s no hope to seek
My arm starts to ache, there’s nothing I can do
He looks at me now, “I love you, ”
Before I say anything to show my fear
He falls down the hole, followed my tear
