Holding On To A Thought Poem by bob barci

Hey there, it’s me again.
Been too long since I said hello.
Trying to hold on to passing thoughts
that just seem to fade and slip away.
Wanting to get word to you is an easy want,
but actually getting through to you,
is the part I find most difficult.
And it’s that thought
that I hold on to,
to get through to you,
with word that hits home,
cuts to the bone,
or triggers a thought or feeling in you,
even to just secretly smile, and say, “That’s nice.”
