Holding On To Tomorrow Poem by Daniele Cerasoli

Holding On To Tomorrow

All I've ever wanted to do is talk to you
So right now, I want to make sure that everything is open between us
And that you know exactly what's going on
While I try to get my head through this marathon

Everyday I feel like it's me versus everybody else
Like it's me versus the world
So I try to move on and let go
But I'm still holding on to tomorrow.

I'm closer to you than I am with anyone else -
Than I ever have been with anyone else -
And at some point we might be apart, but I hope you always know
That you'll be with me, wherever I go.

Change is inevitable
So there's no doubt that we'll both change
But inside, I hope that we both stay the same
And not get blinded by popularity or fame.
