Holding Pattern Poem by Joe Rivas

Holding Pattern

I am in a holding pattern
And I don’t know when I am going to land
And that all depends on you
For you to tell me when it’s safe
Because I don’t want to hurt you anymore
And I don’t want to hurt me too
I am ready to let go
Let go of the controls

Can you see me flying here?
I am just trying to see this thru
Just trying to get to you

Conflicting signals
The beacon light it calls me in
But the tower it’s telling me
That it’s not safe to land
So I fly here at the perimeter
And I am running out of fuel
And I may have to land somewhere else
But I'd walk on foot to get to you

Can you see me flying here?
I am just trying to see this thru
Just trying to get to you
