Holiday Dreams Poem by Moonchild Diva

Holiday Dreams

It snowed all night and I was dreaming,
so warm under covers,
deeply sleeping,
felt like hours of holiday past
and wishes coming true
at last.

You were there, my darling!
With lights on an evergreen tree
and tiny gifts wrapped in red and gold,
and it was all so like Yuletide of old.

I was wearing velvet and everything
was scented perfume,
the standards played on the radio
and there was joy in every room.

The children were opening presents,
while the elders smiled and oohed
and peace held us tenderly
under a bright Full Moon.

When I awoke I wondered,
was it real or just a dream,
then you called my name
and I turned to you
and knew,
my dreams were all true.
