Holidays!

I bet from the title
You’d think holidays are fun.
But not for me.
In my case, I’d run!
Others would be out and pumped,
While I sit at home and feel down in the dumps.
I don’t like holidays…
I never have.
I don’t like holidays…
They drive me mad.
I laze around
and stare at the ceiling.
Before long,
I fall asleep and start dreaming.
Even my dreams seem more interesting
Than my everyday life.
Much more interesting
Than searching for the kitchen mice.
Then I wake up,
I wake up in a daze,
And I continue to do the usual
Laze around till the day’s done
Laze around till you can’t see the sun.
Now that’s when the party’s just begun!
Everybody’s running in, trying to catch the party.
Now that’s what holidays should be like,
Partying at night till 3!
