Home Poem by Lisa Gardner

Home

Silently I wander
these cruel streets
alone. I long diligently
to go home.
I don't know
what or even where
it can be. All I
know is that a pre-
conceived notion is
sending me, to a
quaint, beautiful
little house filled
with love. Inside
it, a handsome guy
awaits my arrival,
heaven sent from
above. When I get
there he'll never
want me to leave.
And he'll cater to
my every wish and
satisfy my every
need. Forgive me
for being so sel-
fish and naive.
But, I've decided
that he's my home,
...I'll never leave.
