I used to think home was a place, four walls, a door,
a light on in the dark.
But then I found you.
Home is now the way your voice calms my storms,
the way your laughter fills the empty spaces in me.
In your arms the world finally shuts up,
where I do not have to fake to be anything but mine.
You are my safe place,
my solid ground,
the warmth I never knew I was searching for all along.
And if ever I get lost in this noisy, restless world,
I know where, I'll find my way
Because home has always been with you.
