Before you, happiness was a rumor, a faraway song
I could hear but never quite feel.
And then you came—'
all soft eyes, nervous smiles, as if the universe had taken pains to place my missing piece right in front of me.
You laughed, And the world was suddenly lighter.
You held me, And for the first time I knew what safe was supposed to feel like.
Now I don't look for happiness anymore.
I find it in your hand, in your voice, how you look at me like I am something worth loving.
And if someone asks what happiness feels like,
"I'll just say your name."
