Home Without Jessica Poem by carson west

Home Without Jessica

Rating: 5.0

If all you have is a house
Secure outside not inside out
It will never be a home
or truly cared about
So when everything we do
Screams I love you
you leave and let me down

And still I relegate
And play the mouse
Insecure from this unsure
But lured by the sounds
they are your mouth

And the cracks in your vows
That you can't secure
but can’t do without
and the hope unsure actions
might provide you the grounds
to make better decisions
with whom we settle down
