Homecoming Court Poem by Bethany Mujahed

Homecoming Court

The rush of my blood
My heart beating like a fast drum
A race against time to get rid of my hood
I strugle with my hood and start to hum

What shall I wear?
It has to be something that will make me pretty
Will my dress tear?
But I don't want people to pitty
