Homeless Poem by Timileyin Gabriel Olajuwon

Homeless

HOMELESS (Timileyin Gabriel Olajuwon)
1.
Run? No, don’t run
Stop, little kids
Stem your tides
And secure your prides

You kids, stop the fight
Do you not know you are the right
That’ill make our future bright?

11.
Come! Come! ! Come! ! !
Hear the cries from our sick minds
Look into our deepen eyes

We have walked miles
Hoping for a day to smile
Free from these tears

From bridges to roadside ridges
We have searched for riches
Generously stolen in our land

Yes! We are natives of the road
Shall we or might say
We make your day!

The furious moon’s glow
Descend on our timid souls
As we lay on roadside mats

We are homeless, not hopeless
This is our faith
The hope of our fate.
