Homeless Girl Poem by Bijay Kant Dubey

Homeless Girl

Homeless,
The homeless girl,
I think about her,
How will she
And where will she pass her nights
Fraught with fear and suspense,
Dark and lonely
Terrible nights?

Homeless,
The homeless girl,
I talk it about,
Her home and belongings,
Her life and misery,
Where has destiny brought her to?

And now on seeing her,
Think I about
Of being homeless
And the state of homelessness,
How does one turn homeless
And how do others oust one?
It is but human greed and craving for more,
Selfish odds which he is engaged to.

Who will give shelter to her,
Where will she get refuge,
The homeless,
Homeless girl
All alone in her life
Going her way
In a dark and lonely world
Afraid of care and anxiety?
