Honey Covered Lies Poem by zier rana

Honey Covered Lies

Rating: 4.5

I simply stand here
On the other side of the door
I hear you talking with her
'There is no one else than you'
How many girls have you told that?
My heart is not breaking
It is not even cracking
I knew of your lies
But to hear it like this
To hear word you already knew about but pretended did not exist
It hurts my pride
It is almost worse than knowing that you were so casual about it
My trust cannot be torned apart
Faith is overrated
So that is the reason to why I walk away
To why my old dreams falls apart
The old me
The trusting me
She is trapped in a mirror
She looks sadly at me
'Am I really forgotten? '
I nod
'Yes you are'
And as I walk away from the door
The mirror in my heart falls
And the billions of pieces
Reflects a girl that is crying
But I cannot feel a thing
After all
My last feelings lies shattered on the floor
Listening to the sound of lies
Covered by honey.
