Honey In Harlem Poem by David Ellis

Honey In Harlem

I see it Everyday...
Through every season
On mornings in their faces going to work
To the elderly ladies with their hats on going to church..on Sundays
James Brown is still alive in these streets
Also Whitney
Even Coltrane played for me the other night....as I walked down Lenox..
