Honor Killing Poem by Ali Rahimi

Honor Killing

Wanted to shed the stigma
After the ignoble fiasco
The union, the amour put their tolerance
To the acid test of honor, dignity
This scandalous move was, no doubt,
Worse than incestuous polygamy
The disgrace was but too ignominious
The fetters of bigotry too tough
She was prey to the parochial desires
And their hands showed no mercy
'Honor killing'' was the inescapable aftermath
But no worries brother, take it easy sister
she is
Still preserved in the amber of faith and creed
Honor killing......
