Hope Poem by Jessica Lyle

Hope

Rating: 3.5

I hope you change for the sake of them,

Everytime i feel your hands wrap around my neck again,
Everytime i feel your hands against my face again,
it hurts so much more than ever before.

Every word you say that cuts my throat,
Every word you say that slices through my wrist,
hurts more than you can say.

Everytime i lie for the bruise you left on me,
Everytime i say i fell down the stairs again,
Hurts me more than you can ever do to me.

I wish that you could get better and better,
but i see your problem. Over and over again.
You only see your side of the story.
This poem doesn't rhyme, it's not suppose to so what do you call it
when it hurts you?

Everytime i want to leave i know i can't, . over and over i lie again.
Because for some reason., ..
I still love you.
