Hope Poem by Pedro Cescon

Hope

Eaten dust,
As if did must,
Soul hoarding rust,
Lack of trust,

Sea not so near,
Uncertainty and fear,
Blood, sweat and tear,
Few memories dear,

Lost, all in all,
Stuck in a hall,
No doors in the wall,
Painful downfall,

Guilty and shame,
Oneself to blame,
Loser in game,
Weak heart flame,

But yet one alive,
With time to thrive,
Needing will to survive,
Ocean's big dive,

For the dull and the dope,
For the devil and the pope,
If climbing world's slope,
Tag to tightest rope,

Don't give up hope

We can't erase a past crime,
But if you still got any time,
You can still make sublime,
Making life one good rhyme,

That is hope is all about,
Through the drizzle and the drought,
Though silence and shout,
With it or without,
Old or just sprout,

Hope'll go throughout
Take hope and go all out
