Hope - Poem by lauren matus

Its been around since the beginning
its been killing since the start
its been dying from broken hearts
there are little ones
that leave no mark
then there are the bigger ones
that you never forget
when you get your hopes up
either big or small
prepare yourself
for the fall

Poet's Notes about The Poem

Growing up I've had my hopes broken, and I've learned since then.
