~hope, Faith And Love~ Poem by Soulful One

shrouded in loneliness
existing in my aloneness
and surrounded on all sides
by too many memories
of what I used to have
but know longer want

I wait, oh so impatiently

for my future to unfold and
for fate and destiny
to make up their minds
and lay out the path
that is charted
for me and me alone

I wait for…..Her

she, who will look deeply
into my eyes
and read the contents
of my soul
she, who will put her ear
to my breast
and converse
with the whispers
of my heart
exchanging herstories
sharing secrets
familiarizing herself
with my being,
the very essence
of all that I have been
and am until now
she, who by the patience
of understanding
will intuitively divine
all the hurts and pains
my soul has suffered
and with the gentle conviction
of her love, break thru
my self-imposed prison
and topple down the glass wall
I have been confined behind
by betrayal and fear

a woman of flesh and bone
directed by the Goddess
on this quest seeking to solve the riddle
and journey thru the maze
to the center of
all of my despair
and anguish
to rescue
the mate of her heart and soul
the companion of her destiny
like a beautiful knight in shining armor
breaking the seal with a kiss
or a powerful sorceress defeating
a devious enchantment,
she will triumph over chaos
by sojourning with me
down thru the shadows of my fears
the dark valleys of
broken promises and shattered dreams
on across the raging seas
of lies and deceptions

to approach the horizon
that bears all hope
that there is more for me
than just pain
where a sunrise of faith
will dispel all falsehoods and illusions
erupting in the birth
of a beautiful morning
brilliant with a love
infinitely stronger and purer
than I have ever known before
