Hope Remains Poem by Elorm Dogbo

Hope Remains

Who said opportunities
Will never return when they pass
And who said ill-conditions
Will ever last
Let them apply their claims
To themselves
And let them say whatever
Is in their heads.

Where do the evergreen grasses get gay growth?
It’s nowhere,
But between the burnt bushes’ ashes
Then why do you cry
When no one will ask you why
Keep it in mind
That in the coming time
Melancholy will lie behind
And will not be heard like a mime.

You might be down
But not buried to the ground
Allow half of the world to make fun of you
Because soon, each of them will become a fan of you
