Hopes And Dreams - Poem by Forgotten Wound
A dream is something you want to come true…
One could spend their whole lives trying to fulfill their dreams
Would you want your dreams to come true?
Should I ask the same question to myself?
The question whether or not to plunge this knife through my heart
To hang myself from the old rope
What is your dream?
To run through the slanting slopes of the greenest hill,
To walk through the most colourful garden
Yet, to my eyes, all this would appear black and white
Not that black and white was not of my choosing,
It was a hope that has come true for me,
The hope to never see anything colourful, sweet and beautiful ever again
Like was my hope to finally slit my wrist
To bleed my blood as if it meant nothing
But a dream is more than a hope, like a vision you see
A dream is a wish your heart makes
But it will never come true, for me, at least
Or do you suggest I put this knife through my heart now?
