Hot And Dumb Poem by RIC BASTASA

Hot And Dumb

the sun had not
seen the rose inside
a cave which is pretty
unusual for
a rose to survive without
light

here upon a focus of survival
the rose learned
how to live without light

the sun never saw its beauty
and when he heard about it
it simply ignore this fact
as a myth, as something that
must be dismissed something
that must be taken as a grain
of salt upon a bowl of water

the rose is true, the sun
hot and dumb
