Hot Cold War Poem by Jay Hall

Hot Cold War

Fire smoldering
in icy Ukraine.
Soviet's annexing Crimea;
they will not refrain.
Classic opening developed
on world's 64 squares.
King's Indian defense;
Vladimir - 'Who cares? '
Kremlin's pawns forward
with Kasparov aggression.
Shrugging red shoulders;
another foreign lesson.
Atomic nuclei
in a reactor core.
As the snow turns to flame
from the Hot Cold War.
