Hotel Roomhotel Room Poem by George Pairpoint

Hotel Roomhotel Room

Hotel Room

I standalone
In a lonely street
Waiting for you
Your beauty beckons
From the top floor of the hotel

It’s just me and you In your hotel room
Living it up, living it big
Just me and you
On hard spring bed
You wishing for love
Me, that I was dead

I take a stride
Small as it may seem
It’s a big one for you
A big one for me
My thoughts haunting me drawn to you

It’s just me and you In your hotel room
Living it up, living it big
Just me and you
On hard spring bed
You wishing for love
Me, that I was dead

Up the stairs
Blood stained and cracked
Like the corrupt world we live in
It didn’t matter now
You were near you my dear

It’s just me and you In your hotel room
Living it up, living it big
Just me and you
On hard spring bed
You wishing for love
Me, that I was dead

The final step
In a journey of regret
Bringing to a close
Heck nobody knows
For the tale goes…

It’s just me and you In your hotel room
Living it up, living it big
Just me and you
On hard spring bed
You wishing for love
Me, that I was dead

I stumbled in the room
Cowering at you presence
Something glowed
What I could only assume
As your heavenly essence

It’s just me and you In your hotel room
Living it up, living it big
Just me and you
On hard spring bed
You wishing for love
Me, that I was dead

Me and Yooooooooooooou
