How Poem by Jennifer Woodland

How

How do you forgive yourself
When the act was unforgivable
How do you mend a hole
That's too big to fill
How do you live a life
When you want death
Where do you find the strength
To love, laugh, and live
To forgive and forget
When all you know
Is hate, lies, deception, and grudges
How will I live, laugh, and love
Forgive, smile, or function at all
When you aren't next to me
You're not in my life
How will I fill the void
How can I even ask the questions
When you're not here to answer them.
