How Bored Do Those Eyes Seem? Poem by Abhinay Sali

How Bored Do Those Eyes Seem?

Rating: 5.0

Great Ocean of life it is for him
Satchel on the shoulder shows the rigor of a pendulum
as the voyage of the day starts grim
How bored do those eyes seem?

‘A common man’ read the twitch on his forehead
Undeterred he, in the lukewarm dawn, drove his moped
Trained were those arms quiet was that mind
How bored do those eyes seem?

He started with an empty pocket now he owns a Wallet
Bitter memories life is full of never dare to close the eyes they haunt
‘Don't disturb the beehive’ said his conscience it was the life he built
How bored do those eyes seem?

The school gate is open, the kid hurried after the kiss
Dear man how did you give it a miss
you are making another you the prince
How bored will those eyes seem?
